Old Boys News |
"It was a privilege to share lunch with over 30 very proud old boys. Six of them were first day pupils and they clearly enjoyed sharing their memories and stories with old friends and meeting the “new” Rector. What was really clear to me was the pride these men have in their school and the gratitude they feel towards Lindisfarne for the foundation it gave them to go on to lead successful, fulfilling lives. They underlined to me the importance of our history and whilst education will always present new opportunities, we must not lose sight of our core values and heritage.
I felt humbled to be hosted so generously by Mr Bruce Dunderdale (1958-60) and Mr Roger Alexander (1953-55). Along with the other alumni, they were absolute gentlemen and were a reminder to me of what we are striving for when we aim to produce men of character at Lindisfarne College. I look forward to joining them again at the end of the year for their next luncheon."
