Archive #36/65: Practical Arts and Horticulture Blocks

The new Practical Arts Block was opened by AC Francis in 1984.

The complex consisted of an Art room, Woodwork room, a Darkroom for Photography and a Pottery kiln with two Pottery wheels. Workshop Craft was now able to be taught from Form 1 right through to School Certificate level.

The new Horticulture Block was completed in 1987. This project required the manual labour of the Old Boys’ and Parents’ Associations as they helped quickly renovate a small dilapidated building to be used by the boys while the building project was being completed.
