Old Boy Daniel Meech competing in the Tokyo Olympics

Old Boy Daniel Meech (1987-90) will be competing in his third Olympics in Tokyo.

Old Boy Daniel Meech (1987-90) will be competing in his third Olympics in Tokyo, having previously competed at Atlanta (1996), Athens (2004) and narrowly missing out on Beijing (2008) after an injury to his horse.

In Tokyo, Daniel will be riding Cinca owned by himself and Johnson Horses GmbH. Cinca is a 12-year-old German-bred grey mare who has been with Daniel since 2018. Daniel is hoping that he and Cinca will cope with not just the travel to Tokyo and the hot temperatures, but also two gruelling events as he chases an Olympic medal.

The Olympic Show Jumping competition begins on August 3rd and the whole Lindisfarne community wishes Daniel and Cinca the very best in Tokyo! #EarnTheFern #Tokyo2020 #lifeatlindisfarne #GoodLuck
