Old Boy Tom Mackintosh Takes Premier Rowing and Sculling Double at Nationals

Some excellent results for old boy Tom Mackintosh at the recent National Rowing Champs in Twizel.

Some excellent results for old boy Tom Mackintosh at the recent National Rowing Champs in Twizel. He teamed up with legendary oarsman Hamish Bond to win the Men's Pair title and soon after the Double-Sculls.

Competing for his Christchurch club Southern, Tom was named the national male rower, which he celebrated with this notable Premier Men's Rowing and Sculling double.

Tom began rowing at Lindisfarne College and Hawke’s Bay Rowing Club in 2012 at the age of 15. The sport at the College continues to go from strength to strength with a number of boys training down at the Clive River every year where they compete in a number of regional and national regattas. Results like this definitely inspire the next generation of athletes at Lindisfarne. Well done Tom!
