Old Boys Vs School Winter Sports Fixtures

There was a strong sense of connection at Lindisfarne recently as we welcomed back Old Boys to challenge the College for the annual Old Boys Winter Sports fixtures.  The Clay Target Shooting fixture took place at the Patangata Gun Club, followed by Football, Basketball & Hockey at the school.  These contests are always fiercely competitive, but they are also a celebration of the lifelong connection our Old Boys have with the College.

2026 Results

Winter - Term 2

Football: College won 8-3 (Hay Trophy)

Basketball: Old Boys won 110-75

Hockey: Draw 10-10

Shooting: Old Boys won 66.4-65.9  (Tod-Syme Trophy)

Summer - Term 1

Cricket - College won by 8 wickets

Tennis - Old Boys 4-0

So, overall, for 2026, the LCOBA Trophy was won by the Old Boys 3-2. Thanks to Rob Hay & Andrew Tod, for organising the teams and to all the Old Boy supporters and ex parents who watched and the younger old boys who played.
